A classic scroll (or volute) is based on the Archimedean spiral or the Golden Ratio spiral. For a CNC pillar, you aren't just carving a flat surface; you are often dealing with "wrapped" geometry or 4-axis machining.

The Taper: Most architectural pillars taper toward the top (entasis). Your scroll design must scale proportionally as it moves up the shaft.
