This is the most elegant and integrated design. The crescent and the football are not separate elements but form a single, repeating unit.

How it works: The curve of the crescent seamlessly becomes the outer curve of the football (soccer ball). The pentagon or hexagon seams of the ball can be stylized to flow into the points of the crescent.
